Production area: San Casciano in Val di Pesa - Florence
Soil: origin of medium-textured ancient river deposits rich in pebbles with a medium presence of limestone and a slightly alkaline pH.
Aging : 18 months in French wooden barriques (50% new) and 6 months in the bottle.
Sensory notes : intense ruby colour. On the nose aromas of black cherry, chocolate, warm spices such as licorice and vanilla, together with a mineral note. On the palate a rich and enveloping sensation, with a medium level of tannins and a good level of acidity which give structure and balance.
