Blend: 95% Sangiovese – 5% Merlot

Production area: San Casciano in Val di Pesa

Soil: origin of medium-textured ancient river deposits rich in pebbles and a medium presence of limestone, a slightly alkaline pH

Aging: the Merlot ages for approximately 24 months in French oak barrels (50% new), the Sangiovese in 500 liter tonneaux, 30% new, and 9 months of aging in the bottle.

Tasting notes: Notes of tender but bitter cherry. Good concentration with a subtle and balanced hint of oak. On the palate it has a velvety texture, chalky tannins and a long salty and savory finish.
